Er. Patrick Foong holds a first-class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from London King’s College and later obtained his Masters from the National University of Singapore. He has, over his 30 years’ career, implemented chiller plant replacements as energy performance contracts and lift/escalator modernisation programs in the form of funded design & build solutions to a number of commercial and industrial buildings, mainly strata-titled.
Patrick is a PE (Mechanical) and Specialist PE (Lifts/Escalators). He is also a SCDF Registered Inspector for Fire Safety (M&E) and his green qualifications include, Qualified Energy Services Specialist (QuESS), Registered Energy Auditor, Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) and Green Mark Professional (GMP). He received the prestigious accolade of Green Engineer of the Year 2014 awarded jointly by BCA-SGBC and currently serves as a BCA Green Ambassador. Patrick conducts professional courses relating to energy and facilities management at the Building Construction Authority (BCA) Academy and at the Real Estate & Construction Centre (RECC) on a regular basis.
